New units, larger terrains, new equipment, improvements and more...

New Units


There are some new units:

  • Blow darter
  • Poison blow darter
  • Hoplite
  • Hoplite shield
  • Hoplite shield light armored
  • Hoplite shield medium armored
  • Hoplite shield heavy armored
  • Blow darter horse rider
  • Poison blow darter horse rider
  • Blow darter elephant rider
  • Poison blow darter elephant rider

In addition, I've added these special units to custom battles:

  • Lord of darkness
  • Lord of darkness' headhunter
  • Lord of vikings
  • Lord of fire
  • Lord of ice
  • Lord of samurai
  • Lord of silver
  • Lord of bronze
  • Lord of hell
  • Lord of lords

New Equipment


I added many new armor parts to the equipment panel.

There are also new weapons and shields.

Larger terrains


There is a new option in the custom battle editor which allows you to increase the terrain size to get more space.

Please note that this feature will require more GPU performance, if you want to play it with grass.

Other improvements


  • Units will now smoothly rotate towards their next targets
  • Shields, armor and weapons will now block other weapons
  • Weapons won't fall through the floor anymore
  • Weapons won't bounce anymore
  • The UI tooltip will now stay on the screen
  • You can now move selected units in the custom battle editor
  • You won't have to click the play button twice anymore
  • You can now change the graphic quality in the main menu(settings)

Performance improvements


I analysed the performance problems, which will occur if many large towers will get destroyed in the same time. The main problem is that there are many active rigidbodies. I added something to reduce the amount of active physic objects, which helps really good to stabilize the frame rate. I tested it and destroyed 6 large towers at the same time without any frame drops!

Balancing


  • Changed elephant health from 800 to 1200
  • Hwacha arrows will cause 80% less damage on buildings
  • Crossbow arrows will cause 50% less damage on buildings
  • Hand cannon projectiles will cause 50% less damage on buildings

Haven't much time last week, but I managed to finish some models:

  • Scar L

  • MK11 Mod
  • SMG
  • Mortar with projectile
