Custom controls, Custom battle editor improvements, future updates and more...
The last few days I took a small break to think about the future of Ancient Warfare 2. There are many suggestions and idea from many people (thank you all for that!). I had to order all the ideas and wrote them down. As the result I hadn't much time to develop the game, but here is a small devblog.
The next update will be on 17th December. Contents will be: Improved controls, adjustable keys, bugfixing, improved UI.
In addition, were will be levelbundles or I will add more units and of course there will be some christmas stuff :)
I want to add much more to the game, so I will try to update it every 3 weeks +- 1-2 days.
There will be an ingame notification for future updates and it's content or if a new version is out.
The update after the 17th december will focus on performance and content.
There were many issues with the controls, so I decided to make them adjustable. You will be able to choose your own keys for the actions in the next release.
Beside the adjustable controls, I improved the controls in general.
You can now pick up stuff much better and you don't have to press the right mouse button to do it.
If you want, you can now pickup stuff, even if you have weapon equiped, so you don't have to throw your old stuff away.
There is also a new quick throw/drop key, to throw your current weapon straight in the direction, you are looking at.
In the next update, the HUD will show your current health and the pick up info can be seen much better. The reload progress of ranged weapons will be shown, too.
In general, you will see many UI changes in the next update.
There are now more towers ingame and I will add more buildings soon.
